Setting up a Windows 2012 Server

I have recently beein playing with Win 2012 and trying to get a process down that I can repeat for each deployment there after.

So far, what I have found is that with a few exceptions, the steps are always the same.

I have nailed down a set of applications that I would install in the order listed for the easiest and smoothest setup process.

These applications and services are listed as under
  • Win Server 2012
  • Chrome
  • Notepad++
  • WinRAR
  • Filezilla Client
  • Filezilla Server
  • SQL 2012
  • VS 2010
  • VS 2012
  • hMailServer
  • MySQL
  • SmarterStats
  • SQL Examiner
  • Multiplicity
  • Adobe CS5
  • VirtualBox
  • TortoiseSVN
  • VisualSVN Server
  • AutoFTPManager
  • ActivePerl
  • Website Panel
    • WebsitePanel Standalone Server Setup default (http://localhost:9001) default accounts are (serveradmin and admin)
    • Under configuration > Servers > click the "My Server" text
    • Add services
    • Click Configuration > Virtual Servers > Click the "My Server Resource" text
    • Add new services
  • Hamachi
I will keep updating as I find other apps that I install as a part of the seutp.
